My name is Leslie Kuykendall, an analytical and tenacious integrated marketer and writer when I can located in Georgetown, TX. My marketing experience spans both digital and traditional disciplines and tactics. Digital marketing, writing, and communications have been a staple of my career my entire life since obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.  I joined the workforce more years ago than I care to acknowledge as a reporter for the Waco Tribune Herald. One of my blog entries details how I went from a nosy news reporter to digital marketer.  I can be airly prolific when I write, so it may be lengthy for your tastes - you've been forewarned!

I am proud of the experience and my achievements throughout my career journey, from a mere beat reporter to early digital marketing, then finding my way to B2B demand generation, website management, email marketing, and more.  Throughout my entire career, I have been grateful for having the skills I have to create both the written and visual content to help businesses of all kinds drive marketing outcomes.

My marketing expertise was gained by on-the-job experience, having been fortunate to work with some really fantastic leaders and role models who had enough faith in my ability (even when I didn't!) to give me the reigns, do what I thought was best, and to "figure it out" along the way.  I was raised with the mantra, "You can do anything you put your mind to."  The sum of my expertise was gained through roles at companies such as iMC2 (a Dallas interactive startup, Travelocity.com, Tuesday Morning, Inc.; Hoover's, a D&B Company; Adometry (now is melted into Google, naturally); Compass Learning; Kasasa (when it was BancVue); and Xplore Technologies, alongside many smaller freelance and contract projects.

Throughout my career, I've been blessed in both full-time employment and my independent career to support a large variety of business types, from a forensic chemist in Canada to data powerhouse Dun & Bradstreet; from gargantuan Dell to tech start-ups and boutique homeopathic pet supplies.  When I fell into the "innerwebs" world (thanks George Bush), I took deliberate steps to ensure hands-on, tactical experience in almost every tenet of digital marketing: SEO/SEM, display ads, marketing communications, database & email marketing, and later, B2B demand generation, content marketing, social media, and sales enablement through salesforce and marketing automation.  While I enjoy working and handling all facets, my passion really lies around program management, website optimization, conversion, and improvement; content and content marketing; and my favorite - customer lifecycle and database & email marketing.  I also enjoy working hand-in-hand with sales teams and sales leaders supporting them through field marketing and account-based marketing. 

I am a native Texan presently living in Georgetown. My husband, Sam, and I have been together more than 30 years, and we've been blessed with a our beautifully smart and talented daughter, currently attending Austin Community College, and two dogs, two ball pythons, and a cat who was found in our neighbor's Toyota engine by one cold December day. In my spare time, I enjoy working on creative outlets such as writing, creating new pieces for my jewelry business, Harmony String & Stone (website being planned), gardening, cooking, baking, and spending time with my family.  I would love to hear from you so drop me a line, and thanks for visiting the site.
